“To the fans, to the haters, and to those who don’t quite know what is going on and what to do in the current situation,Austin Robert Carlile, 25, the vocalist of the popular band Of Mice & Men was arrested this past weekend for “felonious assault”. To some, this may signal that Austin is a “hypocritical douchebag”. But for those narrowminded people, I wanted to explain WHY exactly Austin Carlile was arrested this past weekend. As you are all aware (or should be) Katelyn Norman, a fan of Of Mice & Men, passed away from bone cancer very recently. One of her dying wishes was to go to an Of Mice & Men concert. When she passed away, the whole band was plunged into grief, which you could see from simple Twitter posts. Austin got a tattoo of Katelyn’s name under his knee. The whole band took two dates off touring to attend her funeral and to grieve. Now, you can imagine how astounded and offended Austin would be when he was playing in Ohio at Bowling Green when a group of guys started to mock the death of a fan he really cared about. Let me make this clear to you: AUSTIN DID NOT THROW THE FIRST PUNCHES. If you really knew Austin, you would know how loving of a guy he is. He has “preached” as some of you say, against violence. So what if he punched the guy and knocked him out? IN WHAT WORLD IS IT OKAY TO MAKE FUN OF SOMEONE THAT PASSED AWAY FROM CANCER? You have no idea how Austin or his drum tech were feeling. So lose all the respect you want for him. Send him useless hate. It just goes to show you were NEVER a real fan of Of Mice & Men; REAL fans in this family would actually read up on the facts and stand up for their hero.”
